CONSUMER PROTECTION  Monitoring all consumer touch points to avoid regulatory and consumer complaints, customer management procedures and policies, advertising review and monitoring, outsourcing arrangements, corporate policies, sales and refund policies, response to regulatory inquiries and internal and external procedures that ensure sound consumer support practices. Lisa has represented clients before federal, state and local consumer protection agencies, including the FTC, state attorneys general, and the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs.

E-COMMERCE  All aspects including review of webpages and assisting in proper testing for changes and creating sound terms of use and privacy policies tailored to clients' businesses, assisting in all issues surrounding the use of recurring billing models and subscription arrangements, establishing affiliate relationships and monitoring.

PRIVACY  Creation and implementation of privacy policies, acquisition and protection of consumer information stored on databases, COPPA compliance, contractual protections and monitoring of third party relationships, and employee compliance training and best practices. Lisa Dubrow has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Claim substantiation, including review of clinical studies and research, navigating complex state and federal consumer protection laws to avoid regulatory complaints regarding false and misleading advertising and class action suits, and proper use of third party materials. Review of all media, including social networking, buzz/viral marketing, e-commerce, telemarketing, direct mail, direct response advertising, broadcast, print advertising, product placement and event sponsorships.

CONTRACTS
  Contract negotiation and drafting with a focus on e-commerce, joint marketing arrangements, affiliate marketing, licensing, sponsorships, publishing, production, distribution of consumer products and services, advertising, promotions and public relations, as well as contractual arrangements of all types for entrepreneurial clients.

SWEEPSTAKES, CONTESTS, REBATES, AND OTHER PROMOTIONS
  Creation and review of consumer promotions, including drafting of official rules for sweepstakes, contests, competitions, and the implementation of procedures and filing of appropriate registrations and bonding in applicable states.

SELF REGULATORY CHALLENGES
  Lisa Dubrow was an advisory member of the Children's Advertising Review Unit and a member of the Electronic Retailers Association for many years. She has challenged competitors and defended her client's advertising before the National Advertising Division and the Children's Advertising Review Unit - self-regulatory bodies associated with the National Advertising Review Council and the Council of Better Business Bureaus
